thewrap.com – Convincing Billie Lourd to play the sociopathic babysitter in “American Horror Story: Cult,” wasn’t too difficult, the actress told TheWrap.

“He called me like two months after my mom passed, and was like I have this insane role for you. It’s gonna stretch like every boundary you have — if you have boundaries — and you’re gonna love it,” Lourd, who is the daughter of “Star Wars” icon Carrie Fisher, said in a recent interview.

“‘It’s perfect for you,’” Lourd said Murphy told her. “And then we had dinner, and he pitched her to me and said ‘she’s a crazy sociopath grey-haired babysitter who might be murdering, might not, we don’t know yet.’ And I was like, ‘girl, I’m in!’ So that’s basically the birth of [her character] Winter.”

Lourd also spoke about dying at the hands of her co-star and onscreen brother Evan Peters.

“It is pretty tough to die, it’s not a great thing. People don’t dig it,” she said, adding that she and Peters didn’t have body doubles for the hours-long choking shoot. “It was honestly one of the most fun shoots, but it was also insane.”

She said the scene was both emotionally and physically challenging.

“Evan is pretty strong, like he really went for it,” she said.
